Aveas are really excited to launch our partnership with the Young Green Briton Challenge. The Challenge aims to supercharge a new generation of positive social and environmental action in communities across the UK. The initiative is a beacon of positivity, giving young people the knowledge, skills and belief that they can be part of designing a more sustainable future. Students aged 11-14 have the opportunity to tackle local environmental and sustainability issues.
The Challenge offers students the chance to:
🔎 Explore sustainability issues and opportunities in their local area
⚙️ Design innovative solutions, from business solutions to campaigns and volunteer projects
🚀 Receive seed funding and mentorship to make their ideas happen.
The Challenge is delivered in schools by Social Innovation for All CIC, Volunteers for Future and the Ministry of Eco Education. By providing financial and in-kind support to the Challenge, Aveas is joining a coalition of like minded partners including the Green Britain Foundation, Ecotricity, Avanti and Quorn.
Commenting on the partnership, Simon Warwood, Partner at Aveas Consulting said “Supporting young people by broadening awareness and enhancing opportunities are really important values which Aveas is delighted to support. YGBC aligns very well with our values so we are thrilled to help”.
Stay tuned for updates as our team puts skills into action and follow YGBC. And if you want to learn more about how you could get involved as a supporter, volunteer or eco dragons’ den panellist then get in touch with Katherine Crisp at [email protected].
